Four new Games of the Future 2026 places awarded through WPC Incentive Program

Four more clubs and athletes have secured their places at Games of the Future Astana 2026 through the WPC Incentive Program. The latest entrants will each take part in Phygital Football, Phygital Basketball, Phygital Dancing, and MOBA PC.

Nominations for the slots were received from Gold Members across the World Phygital Community. The following successful nominees achieved the highest overall scores within their respective disciplines:

  • Phygital Football: FC 10 (ADCS)
  • Phygital Basketball: Flow Game Basketball (Asociación de Deportes Electrónicos y Videojuegos de Argentina)
  • Phygital Dancing: Umutcan Tütüncü ( Esports Edutech Türkiye)
  • MOBA PC: GLYPH (Phygital Sport LLC)

To ensure a fair selection process, all nominations were evaluated by Phygital International. PI assessed the applications through a comprehensive scoring framework that took into account four core factors: individual player competitiveness, club and player social media reach (weighted by follower numbers), the quality of the submitted media plans, and commercial activation potential.

Full results are available here.

The opportunity to nominate clubs and athletes is part of the WPC Incentive Program, which recognizes members that are actively contributing to the growth of phygital sport and supporting the development of competitive pathways within their territories.

Dan Merkley, Chairperson and Managing Director of the World Phygital Community said: “The Incentive Program is one of the ways we recognize and reward members who are helping drive the growth of phygital sport around the world. Through their work to develop local ecosystems, organize competitions and support the development of local talent, our Gold Members are helping create new pathways to the Games of the Future for competitors. We congratulate the successful nominees and look forward to seeing them showcase their talent in Astana this summer against the very best in phygital sport.”

The successful nominees will now represent their local phygital ecosystems on the sport’s biggest stage when the Games of the Future 2026 takes place in Astana, Kazakhstan from 29 July to 9 August. Their inclusion further highlights the role WPC members play in creating competitive opportunities and supporting the continued growth of the global phygital movement.
