Team KZ delivered a stunning win to take the title and the top prize of US$50,000 in Phygital Shooter CS2 presented by Yandex Go at the Beeline Arena. They defeated Liga Pro Team 2-1 in a final that thrilled the packed auditorium.
Over the past five days, the finalists have battled through three group-stage matches and yesterday’s semifinals before having to step it up again to deliver in the toughest match of the tournament.
Earlier in the day, the defeated semifinalists met for the third-place match which saw the number-two CS2 team in the world, Minsk House, defeat last year’s GOTF champions, NOVAQ. Minsk House were competing after having taken part in tournaments organized by the Belarusian Federation of Phygital Sports.
Also taking part in this year’s tournament were teams that qualified through the WPC ecosystem:
- Team Hybrids (Phygital South Africa)
- Klan Pedrajas (Phygital Games Spain)
- MIRAGE TEAM (Federation of Phygital sports of Uzbekistan)
