Five days of thrilling Phygital Football action came to a dramatic conclusion in Astana as home team ACF x Allur claimed the title at Phygital Contenders Astana 2026 and secured qualification for the Games of the Future 2026.
Their victory over KMF Titograd came at the climax of a tournament that delivered everything from goal-filled encounters and late drama to knockout heartbreak. A total of 16 clubs from across the World Phygital Community battled for four qualification places at next month’s GOTF 2026.
The final day of Phygital Football began with the semi-finals, where ACF x Allur edged past NS Team 2-1 in the first match. Then, in the second, KMF Titograd overturned a 2-0 digital deficit against FC Olympic Phygital with a commanding physical display to claim a 3-2 victory.
Attention then turned to the third-place playoff, where NS Team earned a place on the podium with a 4-2 victory over FC Olympic Phygital, winning the digital game 3-1 and tying in the physical.
That set the stage for a tense battle between KMF Titograd and ACF x Allur that went down to the final moments. ACF x Allur won the digital game 1-0, then both teams scored a goal each in the physical. That gave ACF x Allur a 2-1 victory, securing the title for the Kazakhstan-based club and capping an impressive week of competition.
Timur Rakhishov from ACF x Allur said, “Winning Phygital Contenders Astana 2026 feels amazing. Having our friends and fans supporting us here makes it even more special. We didn’t concede a single goal in the digital stage throughout the tournament, and that gave us a strong foundation in every match. Now our attention turns to the Games of the Future 2026, and we hope even more fans will come and experience the atmosphere in person.”
All four clubs competing on today’s finals day qualify for the Games of the Future 2026. They join Rotor (ADCS), CD Holcattes (Asociación de Deportes Electrónicos de Guatemala), Orlando Pirates (Phygital South Africa) and Peñarol (Asociación Uruguaya de Deportes Virtuales), who had already secured their places through the 2025/26 WPC season rankings.
