WPC to Host First-Ever General Meeting in Abu Dhabi

A landmark moment is coming for the World Phygital Community.

On 17 December in Abu Dhabi, WPC will host its first-ever General Meeting, creating a formal platform for members to align on governance, transparency and season planning.

For the first time, members will gather around one agenda to align on shared rules, strengthen transparency, and shape how the 2025/26 season will evolve, creating a unified vision for the future of phygital sport.

What makes the General Meeting special:

  • The first official gathering of the WPC decision-making body
  • A unified step toward clearer rankings, fair qualification, and stronger communication standards
  • A structural reset ahead of the 2025/26 season and GOTF 2026
  • A moment that defines how phygital sport grows next

At the General Meeting, WPC will also present the first step of its blockchain-powered governance and data infrastructure program. This includes an on-chain voting prototype that gives all members equal voting rights and transparent decision records. The initiative lays the groundwork for a future decentralized governance model and supports long-term goals such as secure match results and fair, automated processes across the community.

The General Meeting marks a turning point, a moment that shows WPC moving into a new phase of growth, unity, and global coordination.
