Today, the World Phygital Community is delighted to announce that the new 2025/2026 tournament season will run from August 1st to December 15th, 2025. The ranking tournaments, which will be hosted by WPC members worldwide, determine which clubs and athletes will move forward on the road to the Games of the Future 2026 in Kazakhstan.
In advance of the upcoming season, exciting updates have been made. These include an updated ranking system, important changes to the rules and regulations for each discipline, as well as a brand- new Incentive Program to promote greater member engagement.
To ensure all WPC members are fully informed, a workshop will be held on April 28th to explain these changes in detail.
The 2025/2026 season will encompass WPC approved tournaments across any of the core disciplines of Phygital Football, Phygital Basketball, Phygital Shooter, and Phygital Dancing. After all the tournaments have been completed, rankings will be calculated in each discipline and published in February 2026.
Dan Merkley, Chairperson and Managing Director of the WPC, said, “We encourage all the World Phygital Community members to apply to host ranking tournaments when applications open on May 1st. Together we can make this year’s season the largest ever and deliver incredibly exciting events in the run up to next year’s Games of the Future.”
WPC members looking to host the tournaments can apply from May 1 to July 31, 2025.
