Important update! The WPC 2025/26 tournament season has been extended to January 31, 2026. And there’s more… we have also extended the tournament application deadline to September 15, 2025.
These extensions come as a direct result of key member feedback (when you speak; we listen!) requesting additional time to ensure greater flexibility in tournament organization and delivery.
Members now have more time to finalize plans and submit their applications via the WPC+ Online platform, ensuring a streamlined and centralized scheduling experience for every stage of tournament organization and delivery.
The newly extended tournament season and application deadline have been set in consideration of the Games of the Future 2025, which will take place from December 18 to 23 at ADNEC, Abu Dhabi. A WPC tournament blackout period from December 14 to 23 will be in effect, during which no Phygital Origins or Phygital Rivals tournaments can be scheduled or conducted.
Extending the season into January 2026 gives WPC members more time to plan and deliver high-quality tournaments with greater flexibility. We hope these updated timelines will open new opportunities to elevate your events, strengthen local participation, and contribute to the continued growth of phygital sport worldwide. With more time and support, the months ahead promise a strong and varied tournament calendar across the global WPC community.
