The World Phygital Community has announced that the deadline to apply to organize tournaments for the 2026/27 phygital season has been pushed back to allow members more time to prepare. In a statement, the organization said:
“With the world focused on the Games of the Future 2026 presented by Samruk-Kazyna, we recognize that a lot of WPC members will be extra busy. To ensure that the upcoming 2026/27 season is the best possible, the tournament application date is moving.
This is to allow all WPC members more time to consider the new rules and regulations for the 2026/27 season, as well as make sure they have the best possible application for next year’s Games of the Future.
Therefore, the deadline for tournament applications will now be 30 September 2026, providing another seven weeks for members to complete their plans and submit their applications via the WPC+ platform.”
The season end dates currently remain unchanged – 19 November for Phygital Shooter and 13 December for Phygital Dancing, Phygital Football and Phygital Basketball.
Following the WPC’s most successful season, this date extension for tournament applications aims to provide as many of the 120 WPC members as possible the chance to participate in what is expected to be the WPC’s largest season to date.
