The World Phygital Community (WPC) has confirmed that the deadline for submitting tournament reports for the 2025/26 season has been extended to 31 March 2026.
The extension provides members with additional time to complete their reporting. The WPC+ platform is fully operational following a recent temporary disruption, and members are encouraged to proceed with submissions.
Dan Merkley, Chairperson and Managing Director of the World Phygital Community, said: “WPC is built on the principle of sporting equity, ensuring all members have an equal opportunity to qualify athletes for the Games of the Future. The extension ensures all members are able to finalize their submissions and that the season is fully and accurately reflected in the rankings.”
During the 2025/2026 season, WPC members have organized approximately 100 tournaments across four ranked disciplines: Phygital Football, Phygital Basketball, Phygital Dancing and Phygital Shooter. This reflects continued engagement from members in developing phygital sport globally.
The publication of the WPC tournament ranking, previously scheduled for 30 March 2026 will now take place on 13 April 2026. Following the release of the final rankings, members and teams will learn their pathway to the Games of the Future 2026 in Astana – whether through direct GOTF 2026 slots or via the final qualifying stage, Phygital Contenders.
